| Professor Sallis is one of the most renowned contemporary philosophers in the field of hermeneutics, aesthetics, and phenomenology. In many of his books he has developed subtle and always stimulating readings of classical philosophers like Plato, Kant, Nietzsche, and Heidegger. He also has contributed substantially to a philosophical understanding of interpretation, translation, and of art. In Germany, Professor Sallis will continue working on his book Politics of Imagination and pursue his studies in phenomenological aesthetics. |
